The first step in finding help is knowing who to call. 9-1-1 is for emergencies, 4-1-1 is for directory assistance and 2-1-1 is for finding community health and human service resources. Call 2-1-1 any time 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to link to vital services in your community. This service is free and multilingual.

After navigating to NC 211's Find Help (Search Engine), you will be presented with operator controls of the Search Engine. Please see screen-shot below:

From here you will want to select the Search By County radio button. Then select Rowan in the drop-down menu. Select Layoff in the Term List drop-down menu. Click the search button and you will receive the Layoff Assistance Programs offered for Rowan County. I've highlighted the configuration below:
