Rowan County weather is mild and moderate. Summers are warm and dry with temperatures ranging in the 90’s, with occasional invasions of cool dry air from the north. Winter temperatures range in the 30’s, however extreme temperatures are rare in either season. There are no distinct wet or dry seasons in Rowan County, as average rainfall varies year round.  Summer precipitation is normally the greatest and July being the wettest month. Our mild and moderate climate allows for outdoor recreation.
