GovernmentThe Building Code Enforcement Department is dedicated to ensuring safety to all Rowan County citizens by enforcing the North Carolina State Building Code. Our inspectors are authorized by the North Carolina General Statues to enforce the State Building Codes.

We are responsible for Building, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Inspections and Permits as well as Building Plans Review. We also issue set up permits for Manufactured Homes and Modular Builds.

Permit and Plans Review are issued/accepted from 8:00am to 4:00pm

Fire Prevention: June 1, 2012

Law and Administration: June 1, 2012
Electrical: Held at Legislation
