The Rowan County Fire and Rescue Association is comprised of all members of fire and rescue agencies in Rowan County. The Association meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 7:30 pm at rotating fire/rescue department locations throughout the County as follows:

March 15 - Station 69 - Pooletown
May 17 - Station 71 -Rockwell Rural
July 19 - Station 73 - Scotch Irish
September 20 - Station 75 - Spencer
November 15 - Rowan County EOC - Election of Officers

The Association holds it's regular annual election of officers each November.

In addition to regular held association meetings, the Fire Chiefs also meet on the 3rd Thursday bi-monthly at 7:30 pm as a general discussion forum on current issues and topics. The chiefs group also rotates among fire/rescue department locations throughout the County as follows:

February 16 - Station 67 - West Rowan
April 19 - Station 70 - Rockwell City
June 21 - Station 72 - Rowan-Iredell
August 16 - Station 74 - South Salisbury
October 18 - Station 76 - Union
December 13 - Station 77 - Woodleaf
