The Rowan County Fire and Rescue Association is comprised of all members of fire and rescue agencies in Rowan County. The Association meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 7:30 pm at rotating fire/rescue department locations throughout the County as follows:
March 18, 2010 - Station 91 - Rowan Rescue
May 20, 2010 - Station 40 - Atwell
July 15, 2010 - Station 43 - China Grove
September 16, 2010 - Station 46 - Gold Hill
November 18, 2010 - Rowan County EOC
The Association holds it's regular annual election of officers each November.
In addition to regular held association meetings, the Fire Chiefs also meet on the 3rd Thursday bi-monthly at 7:30 pm as a general discussion forum on current issues and topics. The chiefs group also rotates among fire/rescue department locations throughout the County as follows:

August 19, 2010 - Station 45 - Cleveland
October 21, 2010 - Station 47 - East Spencer

Annual Awards
The Association presents awards annually to various emergency services personnel for exemplary actions during the previous year. The awards are given during the Association's annual banquet and awards ceremony. Awards are given in the catagories listed below and are able to be nominated by any member or agency of the Association.
