The Rowan County Fire and Rescue Association is comprised of all members of fire and rescue agencies in Rowan County. The Association meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 7:30 pm at rotating fire department locations throughout the County as follows:
January 15, 2009 - Station 69 - Pooletown
March 19, 2009 - Station 71 - Rockwell Rural
May 21, 2009 - Station 73 - Scotch Irish
July 16, 2009 - Station 75 - Spencer
September 17, 2009 - Station 77 - Woodleaf
November 19, 2009 - Rowan County EOC
The Association holds it's regular annual election of officers each November.
In addition to regular held association meetings, the Fire Chiefs also meet on the 3rd Thursday bi-monthly at 7:30 pm as a general discussion forum on current issues and topics. The chiefs group also rotates among fire/rescue department locations throughout the County as follows:

Annual Awards
The Association presents awards annually to various emergency services personnel for exemplary actions during the previous year. The awards are given during the Association's annual banquet and awards ceremony. Awards are given in the catagories listed below and are able to be nominated by any member or agency of the Association.
