Rowan County Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) is an appointed, quasi-judicial body that hears and decides appeals, variances, requests and requests for interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance as authorized by G.S. 153A-345.  The board consists of five (5) members and two (2) alternates that are appointed by the Rowan County Board of Commissioners.  The ZBA meets on the second floor of the J. Newton Cohen, Sr. Rowan County Administration Building (130 W. Innes Street) on the second Tuesday of each month as needed.  All meetings are open to the public.  For more information regarding variances, appeals, or case files, click on the appropriate link below or contact the Planning Department at (704).216.8588.
