Erosion Control and Zoning Enforcement

Lloyd Pace (704).216.8598 and Becky Bost (704).216.8595 are the Ordinance Enforcement Officers of the Rowan County Planning and Development Department. They are responsible for all Erosion and Sedimentation issues as well as Zoning Complaints and Enforcements.
Zoning Enforcement
All zoning issues are complaint driven, so without a complaint filed, your concerns may not be known to the Planning and Development Department.
To file a complaint, please contact (704).216.8588 or complete a complaint form / minimum housing standards petition and submit it to the Planning and Development Department.
Erosion Control
All plans must be submitted to the Planning Department if an acre or more of land is to be disturbed. Once plans are submitted the Planning Department has thirty (30) days to approve or disapprove. If disapproved and resubmitted with changes made, the Planning Department will then have fifteen (15) days to approve or disapprove. Contact (704).216.8588 for more information.
