The Department of Planning & Development contains both the Planning and the Building Inspections Departments.  The Planning Department is responsible for the issuance of zoning permits, subdivision review, geographic information systems (GIS), land use planning and the enforcement of the Zoning, Subdivision, Erosion and Sedimentation and Flood Damage Prevention ordinances.
