SENIOR SERVICES

Points of Information:

1. The Senior Services Department has contracts with the Abundant Living Adult Day Services, a ministry of the Lutheran Services for the Aging located at 1416-A S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. in Salisbury and Coltrane L.I.F.E. Center at 321 Corban Ave. SE in Concord.
2. Financial assistance is available for eligible individuals to attend adult day services a few days a week.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
3. Both centers are staffed with healthcare professionals including a registered nurse and certified nursing assistants. 
   
4. Adult day services give the family/caregiver a much needed break from the constant demands of caregiving, allowing them time to rest, go shopping, receive medical care and various other personal needs. 
   
5. Senior participants enjoy stimulating activities; a quiet place to rest, hot meals & snacks, with appropriate supervision in a structured environment. 
   
6. For most clients, Abundant Living can usually provide transportation to and from the center.
