RITA: Transportation Service [Share A Ride]
Transportation is provided for older adults and persons with disabilities. Trips are provided for medical needs, grocery shopping, dialysis treatments, personal business and public agency services. Information & Assistance
Call or visit our office to receive information and personal assistance to access services of our department and other resources of the community. The team of Social Workers will help seniors and/or families develop a plan of action to address problems and find solutions to support independent living. Click Here! for more information.
In Home Aide Services
Assistance is provided with basic home management tasks, such as: cooking, light housekeeping, shopping, and laundry. A higher level of service is also provided to help with bathing, dressing, in-home respite and personal grooming. All requests are prioritized to help frail older adults with the greatest social and economic need. Click Here! for more information.
The SAFE Project
The SAFE Project is looking for homes that do not have the basic home security and fire protection devices. This project can provide smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, dead bolt locks, emergency flashing bulbs, peepholes and reflective house numbers. No charge for products; contributions are accepted. Adult Day Care
A stimulating environment for physically or mentally impaired seniors who need supervised care. Enrollment in Day Care services also provides relief for the caregiver. Open Monday through Friday for six to eight hours of care. Limited transportation is also provided. Click Here! for more information.
Supplemental Meals
For Seniors who have dietary problems and need help to maintain or gain body weight. The Ensure Plus® and Glucerna® products is distributed to increase the protein, vitamins, minerals and calories in the diet. A physician's authorization is required. Click Here! for more information.
Senior Employment
Need a job? This program is helping seniors 55 and older to earn additional income while they continue to search for regular employment. Work assignments are with government and other non-profit organizations. The eligibility is determined by income, residence and age. Call Senior Services for a telephone interview.

Are You OK?
A daily telephone safety check can be very reassuring. Volunteers & staff enroll the subscriber. The 911 Communications Center generates the daily calls. And law enforcement agencies are dispatched to the home in the event the subscriber fails to answer the telephone call. Click Here! for more information.
Project SHIIP
Senior Health Insurance Information Program has trained volunteers who will provide individual assistance in understanding Medicare benefits, Medicare billing questions and supplemental health insurance policies. Call for an appointment. Click Here! for more information.
Caregiver Support Services
This program is seeking ways to strengthen the capacity of families to maintain the tradition of caring for loved ones in the home. The focus of this program is on the unpaid "caregiver" who is assisting a physically and/or mentally incapacitated parent, spouse, friend, or neighbor. Nursing/Adult Care Homes
Assistance is given to the Community Advisory Committees who are monitoring the RIGHTS of residents living in institutional facilities.
