WELCOME to the Rowan County Senior Services Department. We are part of the aging network that includes the Administration on Aging at the Federal level, the North Carolina Division of Aging at the State Level, Centralina Council of Governments at the Regional Level, and the Rowan County Board of Commissioners at the local level.
The members of this network are dedicated to planning, coordinating, and developing community-based support services designed to meet the needs of older persons and their caregivers. The principle goal of these services is to promote successful aging with supportive services that foster independent living in the home environment.
To achieve this result, we welcome the participation from all segments of our community. Please do not hesitate to call on our office for information, to make comment and/or to ask any questions about our services.
THE MISSION: To preserve and strengthen the quality of life for Seniors and Caregivers of Rowan County, with visionary programs and activities that address the needs, opportunities, and challenges facing this rapidly growing segment of our population.
