The following steps will get you started with the process:

 Step 1: Watch the NC Foster Parent Orientation Video. The web address link is: Link Opens to New Site

 Step 2: Print your certificate of completion and bring it with you to the RCDSS Interest/Informational Meeting

Step 3: Attend an RCDSS Interest/Informational Meeting. (At least one prospective foster and/oradoptive parent from each family must attend this meeting.

 Adoption is the legal and social process in which a child who is born to one  set of parents becomes the child of another parent(s). The adoptive parents then assume all legal rights, obligations and responsibilities of parents to the child.

Caring individuals are needed to provide permanent homes to children who are in foster care in Rowan County.
