The Tax Collector’s office collects Ad Valorem tax for Rowan County, ten municipalities, and twenty-three fire districts. 

The mission of the Rowan County Tax Collection Office is to fairly and effectively administer the tax laws governing our county and to instill the highest degree of public confidence in our integrity and reliability by providing prompt, accurate and courteous service while promoting compliance with state and local laws.

For your convenience tax bills can be paid online or over the phone with a debit or credit card (a convenience fee will be charged) or you can mail in payment using the envelope and coupon provided with the bills or mail payment to our office.  Our office is open from 8am until 5pm Monday through Friday, where you are always welcome to walk in and make your payment in person.
