Dan Nicholas Park does not charge for visiting! We have many features of the park that are free. Other areas of the park can be visited for very small charges.

Animals are allowed in the park but are not allowed on attractions.
Dan Nicholas Park has 17 covered shelters available for rent. They are equipped with picnic tables and grills. There is a charge for shelter and picnic tables on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.
Online reservations are available for your convenience at https://www.campspot.com/book/dan-nicholas-park. You may also call 704-216-7803 to reserve a shelter or picnic area. Please leave a detailed message with a return number and someone will call you as soon as possible.
Fields trip must be scheduled by calling 704-216-7803. Please do not use the online reservation system to schedule a shelter. Our staff will handle all accommodations for you to make your field trip as smooth as possible!
Dan Nicholas Park was created originally with a gift in 1968 of 330 acres of land from Mr. Dan Nicholas, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist.
