Each year thousands of children descend on Dan Nicholas, Ellis, and Sloan Parks in search of Easter eggs. There's even a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself.
Each Fall, Dunn's Mountain Nature and History Preserve holds Music on the Mountain, a celebration of traditional Southern music and culture.
Paws, Claws N’ Scales is Rowan Wild’s spring event at Dan Nicholas Park showcasing some of our wonderful animal ambassadors. We will have specialty educational programs, animal enrichment demonstrations, and “Meet the Animal” programs throughout the day. We will be selling original animal artwork painted by the animals themselves. Come out and enjoy a day at the park with your friends and family, and learn more about our native North Carolina animal species.
