The Rowan County Register of Deeds office provides numerous services to the working community and the general public. By law, the Register of Deeds is charged with the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and safekeeping of all public records recorded in the office. Personally, I am committed to all citizens of Rowan County.
Online Vital Record Requests
The Rowan County Register of Deeds office is able to process your online Vital Record copy requests.
Online users may submit the appropriate information required for obtaining a Certified Copy of a Birth, Death, or Marriage Certificate through this service. The identities of those requesting Vital Record Certificates will be verified (as required by North Carolina Law) using an extremely secure online verification system. Users will be able to pay for these requests by using a credit or debit card. A small convenience fee will be charged by our vendor for providing this service.

The Register of Deeds has passport forms available and will also be able to take your official passport photo.
