Commissioner Pierce graduated from North Rowan High School and also attended North Carolina State University’s School of Engineering. He lives in Salisbury with his wife, Melissa, and they have one daughter, Ashley.

Commissioner Pierce has served as a member of the Rowan County Planning Board and as Chairman of the Airport Advisory Board.

Commissioner Pierce has been a local business owner for the past twenty-five years and is serving his second term as a County Commissioner. His current term expires in December 2020.
