Tax Administration 

Rowan County has been able to maintain a moderate tax rate to provide great services that enhance our quality of life. In a non-revaluation year, the tax base has normally increased about 3% per year, keeping tax rates in check. 

  1. Business Licenses

    A Business Privilege License is required for all commercial activities within Rowan County. Selected businesses are exempted.

  2. County Assessor

    The County Assessor’s office is responsible for the listing, assessing and billing of all taxable property within Rowan County.

  3. Foreclosure Sale

    View a list of properties in Rowan County that have been foreclosed. Property is sold as is with no warranties or certifications being issued.

  4. Forms

  5. Pay Bills

    Payments may be made by credit card, debit card, and electronic check through the Official Payments Website.
