Adoptive Parents are needed to adopt children who become legally cleared for adoption and are in the custody of Rowan County Department of Social Services.

Steps to Get Started With Adoption Process

  • Step 1: Watch the North Carolina Foster Parent Orientation Video.
  • Step 2: Print your certificate of completion and bring it with you to the RCDSS Interest and Informational Meeting.
  • Step 3: Attend an RCDSS Interest/Informational Meeting. At least 1 prospective foster parent from each family must attend this meeting.
