Rowan County Public Health Will Now Host 2nd COVID Vaccination Days on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays; Starting in February

Due to new changes in vaccine allocations at the state level as of late this week, Rowan County Public Health will now host all 2nd Vaccination Clinics on Wednesdays at West End Plaza (1935 Jake Alexander Blvd., West).  Initially, Rowan County Public Health had planned for Thursdays to be our designated “Second Vaccination Day,” and we do apologize for this last-minute change in scheduling.

Please know that if you have received your first vaccination from us and you are due for your second vaccine this coming week, you will receive either a phone call from our COVID Information Line (980-432-1800) and/or an email from the county (noreply@everbridge.net with the Subject Line:  RoCo COVID Info), with more details by this coming weekend. In this information, you will be designated a particular time to arrive on Wednesday, February 3rd for your second vaccine; so please make sure to listen and/or read this information.  If you did supply us with your email address and you do not receive an email from us, you may want to check your Spam Mail folder to make sure you receive all necessary information.

As a result  of this change to our 2nd Vaccination Clinics, all 1st Vaccination Clinics will now be held on Thursdays starting in February. With that said, please know that when the 1st dose COVID vaccination appointments open this coming Monday, February 1st at 10 am, you will be making an appointment for Thursday, February 4th.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work toward our number one priority of ensuring that all Rowan County citizens that want a vaccine can receive one, while also balancing vaccine supply and abiding by the phased approach provided to us by NCDHHS.
