Rowan County COVID-19 Confirmed Cases: 6

Rowan County Social Services makes operational modifications

Under authority of NCGS § 7B-905.1, Rowan County Social Services Director Donna Fayko has temporarily suspended visitation for foster youth as covid-19 makes in-person visitation inconsistent with the child’s health and safety as well as the safety of the community at-large.  Virtual visits will be arranged for parents through Skype, Facetime and Zoom.   It is important that parents stay in contact with their social workers.  General contact number for child welfare is 704-216-8440.   This process will be reviewed in 30 days. 

Rowan County Animal Shelter visitation open by appointment only.

In order to provide a safe environment for our visitors and follow the recommended guidelines for social distancing we are accepting visitation to Rowan County Animal Shelter by appointment only. Citizens can call in 704-216-7768 and see when we have our next opening.

Rowan County Parks and Recreation

Rowan County Parks and Recreation will be following the State Parks new directives of closing all restrooms in our parks until further notice. The effective date will be Wednesday, March 25^th, 2020.
