[ARCHIVED] Rowan County Parks and Recreation Host Beep Ball Game

On Saturday July 8th,  40 individuals with visual impairments along with staff and volunteers gathered at the Gordon P. Hurley Soccer Complex for a game of Beep Ball. Individuals in attendance represented the cities of Salisbury, High Point, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Two five inning games were played. Following the games teams, staff, and volunteers fellowshipped over lunch. It was an overall great time despite the hot and humid weather. Rowan County would like to thank the all of the volunteers, J.F. Hurley YMCA, and Sheetz of Salisbury for their support of Saturday's Beep Ball game. We would also like to thank the Salisbury Post for their attendance and wonderful article about Saturday's game. You may read the full article by clicking the link below.
