Cari Price has been selected for the position of Rowan County Grant Writer and will begin in her new role on August 1st.
Price has over five years of experience working as the Director of the Catawba Fund and Grant Writer for Catawba College. Prior to her position at Catawba College, Price worked at Diversified Graphics, Inc. and F&M Bank.
Price assisted Catawba in bringing in over $5 million dollars to underwrite substantial renovation projects and technology upgrades. Rowan County Manager Aaron Church stated, “Cari’s contribution to Catawba College provides the experience we need to find and secure new funding to promote economic development and services to the citizens of Rowan County.”
Price came highly recommended by her peers. Former Catawba College Assistant Vice President - Office Development, Margaret Faust, remarked that Price “got the job done well, on time, all while exceeding expectations.” In tandem, Tonia Black-Gold, Communications Officer for Catawba, stated, “She has developed a good rapport with many of the organizations which have made awards to the College in the recent past and is willing to work until the job is done.”
Price, a native of Rowan County, resides in Salisbury. She and her husband Chris enjoy watching their sons Cole (age 10) and Cooper (age 6), play baseball and compete in Taekwondo tournaments, traveling with family, and attending church at World Hope Worship Center.
Price, an alumna of Catawba College who earned a Bachelors in Business Administration said, “It’s bittersweet for me to leave employment at my alma mater, but at the same time I am excited about the opportunity to work as the County Grant Writer and identify and secure grants that can positively affect over 140,000 citizens in my home county.”
