[ARCHIVED] Alert to Voters: Mass Mailing, Text Messages and Phone Calls

Many ongoing outreach efforts by third parties are urging residents to request absentee ballots or register to vote by including the applications or forms. The Rowan County Board of Elections is not responsible for these mass mailings.

These efforts typically are legal, but they are confusing or frustrating for voters and erode confidence in elections. The North Carolina State Board of Elections has several tips on how to deal with the onslaught of mail, phone calls and text messages.
