1. Do you accept TVs?

Rowan County is accepting Televisions free of charge. Televisions will only be accepted at this location. Please bring all televisions to our Rowan County Processing Center located at:

The Health Department's Environmental Health Division handles all water and well testing.

6. How do I acquire septic permits?

The Health Department's Environmental Health Division handles the septic permitting process. Learn more about the On-Site Waste Water Program.

7. Where do I submit my sediment control plan?

8. Where can I dispose of mercury containing thermometers?

Mercury containing thermometers are accepted during our Annual Special Waste Day in October, or you can contact our office for more information on how to safely dispose of these items.

9. Where can I dispose of non-friable asbestos?

Please contact our office for more information on how to safely dispose of non-friable asbestos.

10. How do I report a litter complaint?

If you observe someone littering, you can report this activity through the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Swat-A-Litterbug Program. You may also contact the Environmental Management offices.
