Edith M. Clark History Room – Located at RPL Headquarters, the History Room concentrates on Western North Carolina genealogy and history. Several resources can be accessed online, including:
- McCubbins Collection – The research papers of Mrs. Mary Louisa Gaskill "Mamie" McCubbins have proven invaluable in genealogical research.
- Research Assistance – The History Room staff can investigate specific research requests but is limited as to the amount of time spent on each request.
Historic North Carolina Digital Newspaper Collection – View historical newspaper content from over 1,000 NC county newspapers.
Digital NC – Explore historical materials from cultural heritage repositories across North Carolina. Includes Rowan County Yearbooks.
