Crime Scene Investigation

Crime Scene Investigations are conducted by two crime scene investigators and one evidence custodian. These officers are also responsible for investigating registered sex offenders and sex offender violations.

Children & Juveniles

The Sheriff’s Office works closely with the Rowan County Department of Social Service in investigating child abuse complaints. The office has a squad of four specialized investigators assigned to investigate child sex abuse and juvenile cases.

Schedule

All the investigators work a rotating schedule, the same as patrol, so there is an investigator scheduled 7 days a week to increase response to crimes in Rowan County.
