Plans Review Process

Process

Plan review is the process of reviewing your project for compliance with the minimum standards as described in the technical codes (Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Codes). Plan review is a prerequisite for permit issuance. After your completed site plans are submitted, your plans will be reviewed and approved or comments requested within seven business days.

Go Fast, Grow Fast!

Our Go Fast, Grow Fast initiative ensures speed throughout the commercial review process. We offer a 24-hour executive review if a zoning permit is acquired. It's simple: you pay an extra fee of $2500 (over and above all other fees), and your plan review is completed within 24-hours.

Projects That Require Plan Review

All Commercial Projects require plans to be approved prior to issuing permits. This applies to new construction, upfits, renovations, alterations, and repairs. See our Commercial Plan Review Checklist (PDF) for the minimum drawings required for plan review submittal.
