Summer Camps

The Rowan County Sheriff's Office is offering two exciting summer camp opportunities for local youth. The Safety Camps are designed for children ages 7 to 10 and focus on teaching essential safety skills such as fire safety, bike safety, internet safety, first aid/CPR, railroad safety, and self-protection.

For older children, ages 11 to 14, the Junior Sheriff's Camp provides an adventurous learning experience for those interested in law enforcement. This camp includes team-building challenges, a field trip, and interactions with real-world law enforcement officers. Participants will gain insights into public service, the responsibilities of law enforcement, and the workings of special law enforcement units.
