Requesting an Absentee Ballot in Rowan County

Registered Rowan County voters may request to have an absentee ballot mailed to their home or current residence. To do this, you must use the official NC Absentee Ballot Request Form.

There are two ways to access and submit the form:

1. Online Request (Preferred Method)
Submit your request through the NC Absentee Ballot Portal — it's fast, easy, and secure.

2. Paper Request Form
Download and print the 2026 NC Absentee Ballot Request Form (PDF)
Submit the completed form:

By Mail using USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL to:

Planning to receive your ballot at an address outside of North Carolina or overseas?
Submit your request as early as possible to allow for postal delivery time.

Deadline to Return Your Ballot

All completed absentee ballots must be received by the Rowan County Board of Elections by 7:30 PM on Election Day to be counted.
