Fire Incident / Hazardous Materials Incident Report Request Form

    Pursuant to North Carolina Public Records Law (NCGS §132-1 et seq.), fire incident reports, hazardous materials incident reports, and code enforcement records are generally considered public records unless specifically exempt. Some hazardous materials information may be limited or redacted in accordance with but not limited to:

    • NCGS §132-1.7 – Sensitive public security information
    • NCGS §166A-19.12 – Emergency management information protections
    • Federal EPCRA requirements (42 U.S.C. Chapter 116) for hazardous chemical inventory data
       Rowan County Emergency Services will provide all releasable information permitted by law.
