Conservation Contests

The Contest Theme for 2025 is: Wetlands are Wonderful

The NC Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts annually administers contests at the district (county) and area levels. District winners receive an award and certificate. Area winners also receive a monetary award and may advance to the state competition. 

Poster Contest Is for Third-Fifth Grade Students

Posters are due to the Soil and Water office by 5pm on February 17, 2025. If you are a teacher and are submitting several posters, contact Kelli Isenhour to arrange a pick-up time. On the back of the posters please include the student's name, grade, school, teacher's name and email, and parent or guardian's email and phone number. 

Public Speaking Contest Is for Sixth-Twelfth Grade Students

A brief summary of the speech is due to Kelli Isenhour by 5pm on February 17, 2025. Summaries may be emailed. Please include the student's name, grade, school, teacher's name and email, and parent or guardian's email and phone number.
