Outdoor Environmental Club

If you are interested in learning how to identify animals by their skulls, trees by their leaves, or just generally love spending time outdoors with new friends, then you may be interested in joining us for this new club of outdoor enthusiasts!

Rowan Soil and Water Conservation District and Horizons Unlimited are partnering to offer this opportunity free for any Rowan County student. Through hands-on exploration and outdoor excursions we will learn about wildlife management, forestry practices, fish and water quality, and much more.  Come be a part of the club or test your naturalist skills by joining the Envirothon Team*.

*Students do not have to be on an Envirothon Team to come to club meetings. It is up to the student if they want to compete. However, we will be using the Envirothon Training Manuals to guide our explorations.

This is a free club, but parents are encouraged to register their child so we will know to expect them, and can notify you of any cancellations. Contact Kelli Isenhour to register.
