Outdoor Environmental Club

Club meetings are most Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If your child is interested in learning how to identify animals by their skulls, trees by their leaves, or just generally love spending time outdoors with new friends, then they may be interested in joining us for this club of outdoor enthusiasts!

Rowan Soil and Water Conservation District is offering this opportunity free for any 5h-12th grade Rowan County student. Through hands-on exploration and outdoor excursions we will learn about wildlife management, forestry practices, fish and water quality, and much more.  Come be a part of the club or test your naturalist skills by joining the Envirothon Team*.

*Students do not have to be on an Envirothon Team to come to club meetings. It is up to the student if they want to compete. However, we will be using the Envirothon Training Manuals to guide our explorations.

This is a free club, but parents must register their child. Locations change based on weather conditions. If your child is registered we can notify you of any changes or cancellations. Contact Kelli Isenhour to register.
